Emerson is looking for a Document Controller in Chennai to manage project documentation accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company and customer standards. The role involves utilizing Document Management Systems, reviewing VDRL, collaborating with internal teams, and preparing/uploading documents.

Responsibilities

Master designated Document Management Systems to track all document deliverables.
Review VDRL and handle project documentation with minimal support.
Collect relevant documents from internal stakeholders like Inside Sales, factory, and engineering.
Review and prepare documents for submittal in the agreed project format.
Perform accuracy checks on documentation submitted to customers.
Prepare documents and upload them to the Controlled Document Archive.
Notify relevant teams to review customer comments and prepare resolution sheets.
Review, prepare, and upload new document revisions and re-issue to the customer.
Manage document flow and storage in the Documentation Management System.
Maintain files and use proper distribution and revision procedures.

Requirements

Graduate in Physics, Maths, Chemistry or other Bachelor of Science degrees
Strong communication skills in English – both written and verbal
Proficiency in MS Office
Proficiency in Document editing software's (PDF editor, Nitro etc)

Desired Qualifications

4+ years’ industry work experience with experience in project documentation
Learning agility for fast learning of work processes
Working knowledge of SAP
