Sr. Data Engineer - Supply Chain Automation

AWS is seeking a motivated Sr. Data Engineer to design, develop, and deploy Supply Chain Automation solutions. This role involves collaborating with business leaders and Data Scientists to architect applications and processes using AWS services like EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB, and Elasticsearch, focusing on full software development lifecycle and scalable cloud deployment.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy Supply Chain Application and Process Automation.
Collaborate with business leaders, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists to ideate business friendly software solutions.
Design client-side and server-side architecture.
Develop visually appealing front end website architecture, including translating designer mock-ups and wireframes into front-end code.
Develop functional databases, applications, and servers to support websites on the back end.
Write effective APIs.
Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.
Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade applications.
Create security and data protection settings.
Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design.
Develop technical specifications and write technical documentation.

Requirements

7+ years of data engineering experience
Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, computer engineering, or related field, or PhD
6+ years of non-internship professional software development experience with 3+ years of in developing Supply Chain Solutions and Software.
Expertise with SQL and NoSQL databases.

Desired Qualifications

Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.
Having working closely with Business on Supply Chain Planning and Procurement system development.
