Emerson is looking for a Data Analytics Co-Op to assist with designing data analytics from control processes and developing automated routines for data collection and pre-processing. This role offers hands-on experience in a collaborative environment, with opportunities for professional development and networking.

Responsibilities

Assist in designing test systems, data architecture, and data analytics from control processes.
Develop and implement automated routines for data collection, pre-processing, and integrity checks.
Collaborate with research and data science teams to perform exploratory data analytics.
Contribute to planning & road mapping new features and functionality.
Support agile teams in developing and improving AI models.
Create reports and metrics to drive more efficient initiatives.
Document and present progress/results to stakeholders and other teams.
Assist with other project activities as assigned.

Requirements

Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related engineering or science field.
SQL and Python skills and experience.

Desired Qualifications

Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
Junior or Senior Standing.
C#, C++, Java or other object-oriented programming skills.
Experience in data collection, pre-processing, and relational database models.
Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Familiarity with data visualization, management, and storage tools.
