Emerson is looking for an Application Engineer I in Chennai, India, to support their North American Team. This hybrid role involves providing engineering support for control valves and regulators, including sizing, selection, and preparing technical and commercial quotes. The ideal candidate has a degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation, Chemical, or Metallurgical Engineering and at least 3 years of engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Provide independent engineering support for Control valves and Regulators to assigned accounts.
Perform Sizing and selection of control valves using proprietary FisherFirst2 software.
Prepare Technical and Commercial Quote, technical deviations list, and generate reports and drawings.
Contact GIS teams for any technical/special price requirements.
Support the inside sales network in the North America region.
Work with Industry sales team and Product engineers on finalizing solutions for severe service applications in the process industry.

Requirements

Minimum 3-year experience in any Engineering background.
Knowledge of all Fisher products and accessories.
Understanding of product specifications and Incoterms.
Adequate knowledge of sizing control valves for industry specific applications.
Knowledge of MIB strategy & implementation skilled in using the FF2 tool.
Basic knowledge of Inactive/obsolete/Competitor products.
Degree in Mechanical/Instrumentation/Chemical/Metallurgical Engineering.
Basic understanding of MS word, excel and power point.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
