Microsoft is seeking an AI Business Process Solution Area Specialist to drive AI adoption within local and devolved government. This quota-carrying sales role involves consultative selling of Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Copilot Studio to address challenges like workforce transformation and service delivery, focusing on achieving measurable outcomes and driving end-to-end business transformation.

Responsibilities

Own and grow accounts in the local and devolved government ecosystem, building pipeline and expanding Microsoft's AI Business Process footprint.
Build trusted relationships with business, digital, transformation, and technology leaders, engaging executive and member-level stakeholders.
Identify, qualify, advance, and close AI Business Process opportunities including Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Agents, and CCaaS.
Lead value-based conversations demonstrating measurable service and citizen outcomes, and clear value for money.
Navigate public sector buying routes (frameworks, tenders, business cases, approvals) to convert interest into funded programs.
Orchestrate internal Microsoft teams (Customer Success, Technical Specialists, FastTrack, Consulting, Partners) to progress deals and ensure successful adoption.
Drive adoption, utilization, and expansion, ensuring public investment translates into evidenced outcomes.
Use AI-driven market intelligence to identify opportunities and shape pursuit strategies for maximum impact.
Share customer insights, sector trends, and competitive intelligence back into Microsoft and with colleagues.

Requirements

Experience in technology sales, solution or services selling, or account management.
Experience selling into or working alongside local government, devolved administrations, or the wider public sector, or another publicly accountable, regulated environment.
Familiarity with public sector buying routes, frameworks, tenders, business cases, and value-for-money assessment.

Desired Qualifications

A consultative selling style, building trust and understanding customer problems before pitching.
Experience carrying commercial targets or owning account growth.
Ability to translate complex or emerging technology into clear business value, service improvement, and citizen outcomes.
Genuine curiosity about AI and the future of work, with confidence to sell in fast-moving, ambiguous situations.
Awareness of governance, risk, security, data protection, and transparency considerations relevant to public bodies.
Experience working opportunities with multiple stakeholders, including at executive or elected-member level.

Benefits

Base pay range: £ 74,400.00 - £ 105,900.00 per year for United Kingdom.
