Alfa Laval is seeking a 1st Shift Warehouse Worker for their Richmond manufacturing facility. This full-time role involves material handling, picking, staging, and delivery, operating forklifts and other equipment, and adhering to safety and operational procedures. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience in warehousing or manufacturing and forklift operation.

Ansvarsområden

  • Execute material handling, picking, staging, replenishment, and delivery activities.
  • Coordinate with Team Leader and Inventory Control to resolve material flow and inventory discrepancies.
  • Report deviations including safety, quality, parts, equipment, or delivery issues.
  • Cross-train in multiple production lines for flexible support.
  • Participate in Daily Status Board Meetings, explaining deviations and proposing solutions.
  • Review and suggest improvements for Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Identify and eliminate waste (time, motion, transportation, inventory) and drive continuous improvements.
  • Engage in daily & weekly 5S routines.
  • Utilize downtime for learning new processes and running improvements.
  • Conduct oneself with professionalism, courtesy, and cooperation.
  • Safely operate forklifts, order pickers/manlifts, and reach trucks.
  • Maintain full compliance with all Alfa Laval policies and procedures.
  • Perform timely and accurate material picks, replenishment, and delivery.
  • Verify material, quantities, and locations before movement; report shortages or damage.
  • Maintain orderly staging areas and support material flow between warehouse and production.
  • Accurate and consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Krav

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in materials, warehousing, or manufacturing.
  • 2+ years of experience operating forklifts.
  • Basic desktop computer and handheld scanner skills.
  • Basic math skills, including ability to read a tape measure.
  • Must wear required PPE: steel toe boots, safety glasses, cut-resistant gloves/sleeves.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Prior manufacturing and material handling experience preferred.
