Ansvarsområden

Join the department of VPD (virtual product development) at Volvo Construction Equipment.
Calculate the residual stress distribution originating from the welding process for typical fillet welds.
Use FEA software like ANSYS, LS-DYNA or similar for welding simulation.
Evaluate residual stresses using coupled thermal mechanical analysis.
Solve multi-physics problems including solid mechanics and heat transfer.

Krav

Suitable Background: Mechanical Engineering or similar, applied mathematics.
Include courses in Finite Elements.
