Synopsys is seeking a Thermal Application Engineer in Spain to lead pre-sales engagements and execute thermal simulations for power electronics applications. Ansvarsområden

Lead technical pre-sales engagements on strategic power electronics accounts across EMEA.
Execute detailed thermal simulations on customer applications including e-motors, battery packs, fuel cells, and inverters using Ansys tools.
Translate customer thermal management requirements into actionable simulation strategies.
Mentor application engineers and contribute to sales enablement content.
Partner with Synopsys product development teams to translate field feedback into new product features.
Test pre-release thermal software and provide structured feedback to engineering teams.
Collaborate with marketing to create technical content.

Krav

BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Power, or Material Science Engineering with 4+ years of professional experience in engineering software, or MS with 2+ years, or PhD.
Hands-on experience using multiple Ansys thermal products (Ansys Discovery, Ansys Fluent, Ansys Icepak) and Ansys Mechanical.
Solid grounding in heat transfer fundamentals and thermal management of power electronics.
Working knowledge of power electronics hardware (e-motors, batteries, fuel cells, inverters) and their cooling approaches.
Scripting and automation capability in Python, IronPython, C++, or similar languages.
Fluent English in writing and speaking.
Ability to travel within EMEA up to 25% of the time.

Önskade kvalifikationer

Industry experience in power electronics applications (automotive, e-mobility, aerospace, energy, industrial equipment, or telecommunications) is a strong plus.
Proficiency in German or French is a strong plus.
