Atlas Copco Group seeks a motivated Technology Engineer in Wilrijk, Belgium, focusing on mechanical engineering to optimize compressor thermodynamics and fluid dynamics. The role involves product development from prototype to production, with hands-on experience in modeling, simulations, and testing on-site.

Ansvarsområden

Conduct extensive research, simulations, calculations, and modeling on compressor components or subsystems.
Identify key decisions and devise/execute test plans to address knowledge gaps.
Ensure the implementation of new concepts in new product development projects.
Acquire relevant knowledge from internal and external stakeholders.
Follow the technology evolution for specific compressor types and subsystems.

Krav

Master of Engineering Science, Master of Science, or equivalent by experience.
Strong technical background, preferably in engineering, with excellent analytical skills.
Knowledge of Matlab (or similar like Python) is preferred.
Ability to interpret FEA/CFD results.
Broad knowledge of mechanical engineering, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.
Ability to work on multi-disciplinary problems while maintaining an overview.
Experience working in an international environment.
Good communication skills and English proficiency.

Önskade kvalifikationer

PhD in the domain is an advantage.
Experience in numerical simulations is a plus.
Experience in oil-injected screw compressors or compressors in general is a plus but not required.
Experience as a project member or leader in product development projects is a plus.
Communication skills in Dutch are a plus.
