Emerson seeks a Sustaining Engineer in Lodz, Poland, to support existing products by providing expertise in design, material selection, and optimization. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure product quality and cost-effectiveness, driving improvements, and supporting change management.

Ansvarsområden

Provide engineering support for product design, performance, reliability, and technical problem-solving.
Support Supply Chain by evaluating and qualifying materials and components.
Collaborate with Design Laboratories on product, component, and material testing.
Identify and implement alternative materials and components for improved availability, quality, and cost.
Develop and implement product optimization initiatives for cost reduction, manufacturing efficiency, and lifecycle improvement.
Lead and support engineering change management processes.
Analyze technical data and processes to identify continuous improvement opportunities and reduce risks.
Participate in cross-functional and international projects as a team member and leader.
Provide technical recommendations based on analysis and best practices.

Krav

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Materials, Materials Science, Mechanical, Fluid Mechanics, or related).
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar engineering role (product development, sustaining engineering, product optimization).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
Knowledge and practical experience with measurement tools and engineering validation methods.
Strong understanding of material science (metals, elastomers, plastics).
Knowledge of manufacturing technologies and production processes (machining, casting, injection molding).
Very good command of English (written and spoken).
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Familiarity with engineering change management (ECN/ECO) processes.
Experience working in a global manufacturing environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a structured approach to root cause analysis.

Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
