Microsoft is seeking a seasoned Technical Program Management leader (M5) to spearhead the Commercial Cloud Planning team. This role is pivotal in forecasting, planning, and deploying infrastructure for Azure Standard Storage Services (HDD) and XArchive (Tape), driving accuracy, cost optimization, and customer satisfaction across Microsoft's global cloud operations.

Ansvarsområden

Lead the team responsible for forecasting, planning, and deploying capacity for Azure Standard Storage Services (HDD-based) and XArchive (Tape-based).
Estimate consumption usage, plan large-scale migrations, and develop efficiency plans with engineering.
Partner with supply planning and sourcing on procurement and execution strategies.
Collaborate with leaders across Engineering, Finance, Hardware PMs, CO+I, and other Supply Chain functions.
Deliver high-quality, accurate, and stable rack demand plans for standard compute and storage hardware.
Develop technical insights into product, customer value, COGS, and margin drivers for data-driven decisions.
Optimize the demand plan for supply availability, business growth, and cost.
Lead cross-functional discussions on 24-month capacity plans, identifying risks and opportunities.
Serve as the primary contact for Engineering Groups regarding all capacity topics.
Identify business transformation opportunities to improve accuracy, capex optimization, reduce cycle time, and increase predictability.
Identify and integrate macro/micro industry trends affecting demand into the planning process.
Provide thought leadership, build and execute vision, and inspire team members.

Krav

Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
1+ year(s) of project or people management experience.
3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.

Önskade kvalifikationer

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Data Science, or a related technical field.
10+ years of supply chain experience in demand forecasting, capacity planning, data science, program management, operations, and business planning.
Proven people management capabilities or aptitude.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Proven analytical skills and knowledge in root cause analysis/problem-solving.
Experience in demand forecasting or supply chain planning within Cloud and/or high-tech hardware supply chains.
Experience leading cross-functional processes/programs with stakeholders like Product, Finance, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Planning.
Hands-on leadership experience, moving from long-term strategy to day-to-day tactical implementation.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to lead in ambiguous situations and deal effectively with conflicting priorities and changes.
Proficiency in business presentation tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Proficiency in Enterprise Planning systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, E2Open) and business intelligence engines (SQL, Power BI, Power Pivot, Tableau).
MS or MBA degree.

Förmåner

Base pay range: USD $142,800 - $274,800 per year (across the U.S.).
Specific pay range for San Francisco Bay area and New York City: USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
