We are looking for a Motion Control Engineer responsible for the design, configuration, and optimization of multi-axis motion systems using ACS Motion Control platforms. This role requires expertise in selecting motors, encoders, drives, and controllers, as well as hands-on experience in wiring, commissioning, programming in ACSPL+, and tuning servo loops for demanding applications. The ideal candidate will also be proficient in PLC programming and industrial network integration.

Ansvarsområden

Own the design, configuration, and optimization of multi-axis motion systems on ACS Motion Control platforms.
Select appropriate motors, encoders, drives, and controllers for each application.
Wire, commission, program, and tune motion systems to meet performance targets.
Develop motion applications using ACSPL+, including coordinated motion, gantry configurations, and trajectory planning.
Tune servo loops and characterize performance issues like settling time and following error.
Implement safety features, fault handling, and machine safety standards.
Produce and review electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring drawings.
Debug wiring, grounding, shielding, and EMI issues.
Program and integrate PLCs from major platforms (Siemens, Rockwell, Beckhoff).
Implement fieldbus communication for industrial networks.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams through design reviews and production ramp.
Document designs, tuning parameters, and commissioning procedures.

Krav

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
7–8 years of hands-on experience in industrial motion control and automation.
Demonstrated experience with ACS Motion Control hardware and software (SPiiPlus controllers/drives, ACSPL+ programming, MMI Application Studio).
Strong working knowledge of servo control theory, including control loop structure, gain tuning, frequency response, and stability margins.
Proven ability to size and select motors, drives, and feedback devices from first principles.
Solid electrical fundamentals and ability to interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.
Proficiency in troubleshooting with a multimeter, oscilloscope, and controller trace tools.
PLC programming experience in at least one major platform (ladder and structured text).
Familiarity with industrial networks, especially EtherCAT.
Knowledge of machine safety concepts and standards.
Comfortable working hands-on in a lab or machine floor environment, including prototype hardware bring-up and debug.

Experience with multi-axis gantry systems, dual-loop feedback, or direct-drive linear and torque motors.
Experience with other motion platforms (Beckhoff, Aerotech, Delta Tau/Power PMAC, Siemens, Rockwell) for comparison and migration.
Knowledge of vibration analysis, mechanical resonance, and structural dynamics affecting closed-loop performance.
Exposure to machine vision or sensor-triggered motion.
Experience supporting equipment through design-to-production transition.
