The Team Lead, Sort Center at Amazon is responsible for managing a shift, ensuring team performance, and facilitating information flow between stakeholders to maintain customer experience and business continuity. This role requires a basic understanding of logistics, strong communication skills, and the ability to drive process improvements. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in a relevant field and a Bachelor's degree.

Ansvarsområden

  • Manage a shift (Day/Night), identifying opportunities to improve team performance and owning change management.
  • Develop and refer to performance metrics to drive team performance and business results.
  • Identify business impact of trends and make data-backed decisions.
  • Communicate with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (Finance, Ops Excellence, Fulfillment Centers).
  • Escalate problems or variances in information and data to relevant owners and follow through on resolutions.
  • Define, build, and execute transportation processes from FC to customers, leveraging the Sort Center network.
  • Responsible for hiring, training, and building a motivated workforce for SC teams.
  • Coordinate with Finance, CS, FC, and Projects teams on SC operations matters.
  • Continuously improve SC processes and attain sustained performance standards.
  • Initiate improvements to enhance quality standards, reduce waste, and eliminate unnecessary work.
  • Analyze data reports to identify performance bottlenecks and improve performance.
  • Implement formal process control and process improvement mechanisms such as Kaizen (six sigma).
  • Manage day-to-day floor operations during the shift, ensuring SOPs are followed.
  • Monitor key metrics, conduct regular audits, and motivate the team for maximum efficiency and output.

Krav

  • 1+ years of customer-facing environment, warehousing, logistics or manufacturing experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Fluent in English (speak, write, and read)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
  • Ability to pull data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL and/or other data management systems) and perform ad hoc reporting and analysis is a plus.
