Responsibilities
- Manage a shift (Day/Night), identifying opportunities to improve team performance and owning change management.
- Develop and refer to performance metrics to drive team performance and business results.
- Identify business impact of trends and make data-backed decisions.
- Communicate with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (Finance, Ops Excellence, Fulfillment Centers).
- Escalate problems or variances in information and data to relevant owners and follow through on resolutions.
- Define, build, and execute transportation processes from FC to customers, leveraging the Sort Center network.
- Responsible for hiring, training, and building a motivated workforce for SC teams.
- Coordinate with Finance, CS, FC, and Projects teams on SC operations matters.
- Continuously improve SC processes and attain sustained performance standards.
- Initiate improvements to enhance quality standards, reduce waste, and eliminate unnecessary work.
- Analyze data reports to identify performance bottlenecks and improve performance.
- Implement formal process control and process improvement mechanisms such as Kaizen (six sigma).
- Manage day-to-day floor operations during the shift, ensuring SOPs are followed.
- Monitor key metrics, conduct regular audits, and motivate the team for maximum efficiency and output.
Requirements
- 1+ years of customer-facing environment, warehousing, logistics or manufacturing experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Fluent in English (speak, write, and read)
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
- Ability to pull data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL and/or other data management systems) and perform ad hoc reporting and analysis is a plus.
