HID is seeking a Staff Test Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and security of biometric identity solutions for U.S. government programs. This role involves leading quality assurance initiatives, driving test automation, and establishing best practices in collaboration with engineering and product teams.
Ansvarsområden
- Lead the identification, definition, promotion, and integration of quality assurance best practices and standards across product lifecycle phases.
- Define, plan, develop, acquire, deploy, and execute quality assurance processes, methods, test automation tools, metrics, and procedures.
- Perform problem determination and defect tracking using tools such as TestRail.
- Identify, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions and frameworks.
- Define and monitor quality assurance metrics, including defect and open bug tracking.
- Plan and track quality assurance projects while providing regular status updates to leadership.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and training across quality assurance disciplines.
- Partner with engineering and product teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Analyze requirements and functional specifications to develop quality assurance plans, test cases, test scripts, scenarios, use cases, and test environments.
- Perform technical risk assessments and predictive analysis using quality metrics and data-driven insights.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and quality assurance best practices.
- Support the delivery of secure, reliable, and high-quality biometric identity solutions for critical U.S. government programs.
Krav
- Strong understanding of software quality assurance methodologies and processes used to deliver high-quality, defect-free products and services.
- Hands-on software testing experience, including working with test tools, defect reporting, and defect tracking systems.
- Knowledge of networking concepts, internet technologies, and software testing best practices.
- Experience translating business and technical requirements into quality assurance plans, test cases, test scripts, test scenarios, use cases, and test environments.
- Ability to identify, analyze, and troubleshoot software defects using analytical methods and testing tools throughout the product lifecycle.
- Experience defining and applying quality metrics, building quality models, conducting predictive analysis, and performing technical risk assessments.
- Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate effectively within cross-functional team environments.
- Experience providing technical guidance, mentoring, and training to team members.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment under general supervision.
- Bachelor's in computer science or equivalent work experience, at least five years of industry experience, including a minimum of three years working within a quality assurance organization is preferred.
- Strong understanding of software quality assurance methodologies, processes, and metrics is preferred.
