Amazon Lab126 is looking for a Sr. Software Quality Assurance Engineer with expertise in consumer application testing, specifically audio features for edge technology devices. The role involves creating test plans, executing manual and automated tests, identifying and tracking bugs, and collaborating with development teams to ensure high-quality audio performance. This is an on-site position in Bengaluru, India.

Ansvarsområden

Own end-to-end audio QA for device programs, including defining test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
Design and execute functional, regression, and performance tests for various audio features (VoIP, ASR/wake-word, ANC/passthrough, playback, echo cancellation/AEC, beamforming, spatial audio).
Build and maintain automated test suites and lab pipelines, expanding coverage and reducing manual effort.
Define and track audio quality KPIs and report defect-escape rate, coverage, and release risk to stakeholders.
Triage, root-cause, and reproduce audio defects, partnering with DSP, firmware, AFE, and platform teams.
Own the test infrastructure and device/lab readiness for reliable, repeatable measurements.
Represent audio quality in program reviews, surfacing regression and schedule risks with mitigation plans.
Mentor junior QA engineers and improve test craft, documentation, and review mechanisms.

Krav

6+ years of quality assurance engineering experience.
4+ years of delivering test frameworks, test tools, and leading QA projects/initiatives.
Knowledge of QA methodology and tools.
Demonstrated experience in an QAE role.
Experience in manual testing.
Experience in automation testing.
Experience scripting or coding.
Hands-on experience testing audio, DSP, or embedded/consumer-device software.
Solid understanding of digital signal processing and acoustic fundamentals.

Önskade kvalifikationer

2+ years of UI Automation (preferably on mobile platforms) experience.
Knowledge of at least one modern object-oriented programming language such as C++, Java, Objective C.
Experience with objective audio quality tools and metrics (POLQA/PESQ, ACQUA, MOS, ERLE).
Familiarity with the hardware device lifecycle (EVT/DVT/PVT) and manufacturing release gates.
Experience testing VoIP, wake-word/ASR, ANC, or spatial/head-tracked audio.
Experience with acoustic measurement setups (HATS, anechoic/lab test rigs) and calibration.
