HCLTech is seeking a Sr. Administrator (Support & Operations) for their Hyderabad or Bengaluru locations. The role involves deploying and managing cloud infrastructure on Azure and GCP, executing server migrations, and troubleshooting L2 incidents related to Linux operating systems. Experience with LVM, Bash scripting, and ServiceNow is required.

Ansvarsområden

Deploy and configure cloud infrastructure (Azure VMs, GCP Compute Engine, Virtual Networks, Managed Disks) for Linux workloads.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot replication mobility agents for server migrations using tools like Azure Migrate or ASR.
Audit and prepare source Linux operating systems for migration, including LVM, GRUB, disk space, and kernel versions.
Execute post-migration OS tasks such as uninstalling VMware Tools, updating NICs, and rebuilding initramfs.
Diagnose and resolve post-migration Linux boot failures, network configuration issues, and disk mounting problems.
Administer LVM, partitioning, and mounting of NFS/CIFS network file systems.
Apply routine OS patching and security updates using Red Hat Satellite or SUSE Manager.
Adhere to Change, Incident, and Problem Management workflows in ServiceNow.
Collaborate with Storage, Network, and Database teams during migration cutovers.
Draft technical standard operating procedures (SOPs) and post-migration validation checks.

Krav

4+ years of dedicated experience in enterprise Linux Administration (RHEL and SUSE).
2+ years of hands-on experience deploying and administering Linux instances inside Microsoft Azure or GCP.
Proven hands-on experience executing server migrations using Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery (ASR), or similar replication tools.
Strong working knowledge of Linux Volume Management (LVM), GRUB/GRUB2 bootloaders, and system initialization (systemd/SysVinit).
Proficiency in writing and debugging Bash scripts to automate repetitive post-migration cleanup and validation tasks.
Solid understanding of standard networking concepts (TCP/IP routing, DNS configuration, and SSH key management).
Exceptional attention to detail when executing technical migration runbooks during maintenance windows.
Practical experience adhering to Change, Incident, and Problem Management workflows in ServiceNow.
Strong team player who coordinates effectively with Storage, Network, and Database teams.
Ability to draft clear, technical standard operating procedures (SOPs) and post-migration validation checks.

Önskade kvalifikationer

Basic understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker/Podman) running on Linux.
Experience with multi-pathing configurations and SAN/NAS storage attachments.
Methodical, logical approach to diagnosing kernel crashes, network interface drops, or disk-mount errors.
Resilience and flexibility to support weekend or off-hour migration cutover bridges.
Ability to communicate technical roadblocks and resolution statuses clearly to the Migration Lead.
RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator) or SUSE Certified Administrator.
AZ-104 OR GCP Associate Cloud Engineer.
ITIL v4 Foundation.
