The Alexa Shopping team in Bangalore is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to build new system capabilities for strategic business initiatives. This role offers an opportunity to significantly impact the design and architecture of widely used products, working in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality software, establish design principles, and mentor junior team members.

Ansvarsområden

  • Design, manage and own technologies in Alexa Shopping programs space.
  • Design and implement software solutions addressing customer needs, balancing functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from product definition to operational support.
  • Write high-quality, well-documented code and participate actively in code reviews.
  • Evaluate new tools and approaches, including generative artificial intelligence, to improve engineering workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand business context and deliver incremental improvements.

Krav

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling).
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
