Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions is looking for a Service Technician – Crushing Solutions based in Solwezi, Zambia. This role involves providing aftermarket maintenance, technical support, and service for Sandvik crushing equipment at customer sites across Zambia and Central Africa. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the mining industry, strong mechanical skills, and a valid passport for travel.

Ansvarsområden

Provide aftermarket maintenance and quality support of Sandvik Rock Processing equipment/ components.
Offer hands-on technical support and service for Crushing equipment and aftermarket parts.
Conduct customer training on Sandvik Crushers.
Perform mechanical and process maintenance at customer mine sites.
Identify, report, and resolve technical issues safely and efficiently.
Carry out installation and commissioning of new Sandvik equipment.
Attend training, meetings, and be available for after-hours callouts.
Cooperate with customers' teams on installation, commissioning, repair, and fault diagnosis.
Support sales efforts by promoting Crushing Solutions equipment and aftermarket sales.
Provide feedback for maintenance planning improvements.
Ensure adherence to all Sandvik health, safety, and environmental policies.

Krav

Qualified Mechanical Technician, Fitter, Boilermaker or Diesel mechanic.
At least 5 years of experience in a similar role in the Mining Industry.
Experience servicing mineral processing and fixed plant equipment in the mining industry (Fixed plant crushing and screening highly regarded).
Strong technical skills in Crushing and Screening Preventative Maintenance and Service Repairs, Hydraulic repair, Automation setup, maintenance and troubleshooting, fault finding, and problem solving.
Acquired knowledge in Crushing and Screening operations in both surface and underground operations.
Valid passport and willingness to travel within the Central African Territory.
Possess a relevant driver’s license accepted in Zambia.
