Qualcomm is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join their 24/7 SRE team. You will ensure critical production systems are reliable, scalable, and secure, focusing on automation, observability, and system resilience. The role involves on-call rotations, incident management, performance tuning, and mentoring junior engineers.

Ansvarsområden

Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of critical systems.
Define, measure, and report on SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools.
Develop and maintain monitoring dashboards and alerts.
Lead incident response efforts and post-mortem analysis.
Optimize system performance and scalability.
Monitor and optimize cloud spend.
Implement and maintain security best practices.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation.
Mentor junior engineers and champion SRE best practices.
Own front-line 24/7 on-call rotations and incident response.

Krav

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in software engineering and systems administration.
Proficiency in Python or Go.
Extensive experience with AWS cloud platform.
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
Expertise in Docker and Kubernetes. Hands-on Kubernetes experience is a must.
Proficiency with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and logging tools like ELK stack or Loki stack.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security.
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Proven leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior engineers.
Comfortable working in a fully distributed, offshore setup.
