As a Senior Critical Environment Technician - Electrical SME at Microsoft, you will be responsible for maintaining critical datacenter infrastructure, including performing various types of maintenance, troubleshooting complex equipment, and leading incident response teams. This role requires a strong understanding of safety procedures and the ability to mentor junior technicians while ensuring the reliable operation of essential systems.

Ansvarsområden

Maintain and troubleshoot critical environment equipment, including electrical systems, HVAC, and controls.
Perform planned, predictive, and corrective maintenance with no supervision.
Lead incident response for abnormal conditions and coordinate corrective repairs.
Monitor equipment performance using telemetry and other platforms, and analyze trends.
Develop and implement operating procedures (MOPs, SOPs, DMOPs).
Escort and supervise third-party contractors and vendors.
Prepare complex reports, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Mentor and coach less experienced team members on technical and procedural matters.
Ensure compliance with safety, security, and business process requirements.
Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for work order tracking and asset management.

Krav

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
5+ years of mission-critical services work experience (e.g., data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical manufacturing).
1+ year(s) experience in a specialized area (e.g., mechanical, electrical, or controls field).

Önskade kvalifikationer

Associate's Degree or technical trade certification (e.g., military, trade school), or higher-equivalent education AND 7+ years mission-critical services experience.
OR High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent AND 10+ years mission critical services experience.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
Authorization to work in the United States without future employer sponsorship.
