ABB Marine & Ports is seeking an R&D Project Manager in Västerås, Sweden, to lead innovation in sustainable shipping. The role involves managing projects, driving technological advancements, and ensuring product development processes are followed. A degree in a relevant engineering field and experience in automation platforms are required.

Ansvarsområden

  • Maintain recognized expertise in a specific area by integrating the latest developments in technologies, tools, and methodologies.
  • Find new ways of solving problems by following your ideas, creating hypotheses, and defining ways to validate them.
  • Document work results (like findings, designs, or software), allowing others to maintain and improve them.
  • Understand and initiate IP generation in your area of specialization and participate in the project IP strategy development.

Krav

  • At least 5 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems, working as an R&D Project Manager, Automation Engineer, Control Systems Engineer, Technical Lead or in a similar role.
  • Solid experience with automation platforms and technologies such as PLC, SCADA, HMI, embedded systems, system integration and industrial communication networks.
  • Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field.
  • Good understanding of control system architecture, industrial communication protocols, cybersecurity principles and the validation of complex technical solutions.
  • Experience of project management, requirements management, risk management, product development processes and agile ways of working.
  • Fluent communication in English, both written and spoken.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Experience with DevOps practices and software lifecycle management is considered an advantage.
  • Swedish language skills are considered an advantage.
