Microsoft's CoreAI team is seeking postdoctoral researchers to work on applied research problems in scalable software engineering using AI and formal methods. The positions are based in Bangalore, India, and involve collaboration with researchers and product groups on real-world SE challenges.

Ansvarsområden

  • Work on applied research problems at the intersection of PL, SE, and AI with FoSSE and Microsoft colleagues.
  • Experiment with and build tools for real-world, large code bases.

Krav

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Strong background in programming languages, compilers, or related areas (PL track).
  • Interest in combining AI with PL/compiler techniques for SE at scale and with high quality (PL track).
  • Strong background in LLM post-training (e.g., RLHF, instruction tuning, alignment, evaluation) (RL track).
  • Interest in applying LLM techniques to SE (RL track).

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Experience with code migration, code translation, and static analysis.
  • Experience with reinforcement learning for large language models.
