Ameristar Perimeter Security is looking for a Mill Operator Trainee to operate and maintain mill equipment for continuous shift operation. This entry-level, full-time, on-site position in Tulsa, OK, requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to learn and work as part of a team. The role involves ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency through hands-on operation, quality checks, and collaboration with supervisors and maintenance.

Ansvarsområden

  • Ensure continuous operation of the mill during the shift.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area (5S).
  • Cross-train team members on parts programming and mill set-ups.
  • Perform TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) on process and equipment.
  • Coordinate daily and weekly activities with the department supervisor.
  • Perform visual and manual quality checks of finished products.
  • Minimize scrap.
  • Collaborate with maintenance to resolve equipment issues promptly.
  • Document downtime through a seamless reporting system for KPI tracking.
  • Communicate with coworkers to ensure continuous flow of mill and material handler for proper tagging of product.
  • React to schedule changes and mill conditions.

Krav

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience using special measuring devices, calipers, and tape measure.
  • Ability to work with experienced operators on equipment safety and operation.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to retain taught information.
  • Demonstrate ability to meet negotiated time frames.
  • Good Mechanical Aptitude.
  • Ability to document down time through seamless reporting system to drive KPI tracking.
  • Good communication skills with coworkers.
  • Ability to think and react to schedule changes and conditions on the mill.
  • Ability to be a contributing and valued team member for continuous improvement activities.

Önskade kvalifikationer
