Scania/MAN's Traton is seeking a Master Thesis Student for a full-time, hybrid role in Södertälje, Sweden. This thesis focuses on designing and verifying an AI-based model for parameter quantification and fault detection in internal combustion engines, offering a chance to develop engineering skills and explore career goals within sustainable transport solutions.

Ansvarsområden

Design and verification of a new AI-based model for parameter quantification and fault detection on an Internal combustion engine.
Conducting a theoretical study utilizing data from previous experiments.
Option for experimental verification for interested students.
Participate in a four-phase thesis process including research question finalization, main thesis work with mid-term feedback, and final write-up and presentation.

Krav

Master of Science student in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, computer science or similar.
Experience with AI as a problem-solving tool in modeling projects.
Experience with Matlab for evaluating and presenting results.
Proficient in Swedish and English in speech and writing.

Önskade kvalifikationer

Educated in computer science and programming.
Imaginative, communicative, initiative-taking, and structured problem solver.
Positive attitude, ease in making new contacts, and ability to work independently and in a team.
