This Master Thesis position involves writing bare-metal code to control the eMMC storage interface on ARM-based processors for next-generation Ericsson ASICs. You will develop, validate, and document reusable test content, working with both real hardware and a virtual platform, contributing to the bring-up of future silicon.

Ansvarsområden

Study the eMMC storage interface and ARM-based processor.
Develop bare-metal code to drive the storage interface in SDR and DDR modes.
Implement and verify DMA-based transfers.
Bring up and validate test content on existing project hardware.
Port test content to the SVP virtual platform.
Measure performance, characterize error behavior, and document a reusable methodology.

Krav

Master’s student in electrical/computer engineering, embedded systems, or a related field.
Enjoy programming in C and have curiosity about hardware interaction.
Interest in understanding system behavior at a low level.

Önskade kvalifikationer

Bare-metal and firmware programming, including some assembly.
Knowledge of storage interfaces such as eMMC and SD.
Familiarity with DMA and memory concepts.
Experience with test automation using scripting languages like Python.
Understanding of hardware validation workflows.
