Saab is seeking a Senior Tooling Engineer in West Lafayette, IN to manufacture the rear section of the T-7A Red Hawk aircraft. Responsibilities include tooling design, preparation, verification, and continuous improvement, collaborating with Swedish tooling resources. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 3+ years of manufacturing experience is required.

Ansvarsområden

  • Contribute to the development of production systems and working methods, influencing design for low production costs.
  • Develop new technical solutions and efficient production systems based on Lean principles.
  • Deploy advanced tooling options where effectively leveraged.
  • Ensure accurate and timely tooling resources, supported by maintenance and calibration processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement for tooling resources and processes.
  • Work collaboratively with Swedish tooling resources.
  • Contribute to a people-first culture aligned with Saab values.
  • Able to work extended schedule when needed.

Krav

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years relevant tooling experience or Aerostructures experience preferred.
  • Driven, innovative and takes initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and collaboratively.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to travel internationally.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, Permanent Resident, or protected individual.
