The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, and electrical systems. This role involves troubleshooting, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring all systems are up to standard, requiring 3-5 years of related experience and a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Ansvarsområden

  • Install and repair electrical apparatus, transformers, and wiring.
  • Set up and operate machine tools to repair or fabricate machine parts.
  • Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment.
  • Inspect and test machinery and equipment to identify issues.
  • Dismantle defective machines and install new or repaired parts.
  • Clean and lubricate machinery components.
  • Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related equipment.
  • Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment.
  • Operate cutting torch or welding equipment.
  • Fabricate and repair counters, benches, and wooden structures.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems.
  • Schedule repairs to ensure equipment is up to standard.
  • Work at high elevations using various platforms (ladders, scissor lifts, boom lifts).
  • Work in tight or confined spaces.
  • Work in non-climate-controlled environments.
  • Wear full PPE, including steel toe boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, fall harness, and potentially arc-flash or respiratory gear.
  • Understand and apply maintenance safety systems (LOTO, JHA, Energized Work Permit).
  • Be available for on-call duties.

Krav

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Requires 3-5 years of related maintenance (electrical and mechanical) experience.
  • Practical experience with manufacturing, assembly, and welding equipment.
  • Must be comfortable working at high elevations using multiple forms of working platforms.
  • Must be comfortable working in tight or confined spaces.
  • Must be comfortable working in non-climate-controlled environments.
  • Must be able to wear full PPE depending on the task.
  • Must have a clear understanding of maintenance safety systems (LOTO, JHA, Energized Work Permit, etc.).
  • Must understand and be available for on call.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Completion of a three- to five-year apprenticeship program through an employer or trade union is a plus.
  • Degree or certificate in a maintenance or technical field from a trade, technical school, or community college is a plus.
  • Practical experience and working knowledge of Preventive Maintenance systems preferred.
