Responsible for end-to-end database operations, primarily with DB2, ensuring availability, performance, security, and stability. Provides L2/L3 support for PostgreSQL and MySQL in production environments, including troubleshooting, patching, and performance tuning.

Ansvarsområden

  • Perform end-to-end database operations with DB2 as primary focus, ensuring availability, performance, security, and stability.
  • Provide L2/L3 support for PostgreSQL and MySQL in production environments.
  • Manage installation, patching, fix pack & version upgrades for DB2.
  • Handle backup, restore, and recovery processes for DB2.
  • Provide HA/DR support (HADR) for DB2.
  • Conduct performance tuning (SQL, indexing, reorg, runstats) for DB2.
  • Perform monitoring, troubleshooting, and RCA for DB2.
  • Manage user access, security, and audit support for DB2.
  • Provide L2/L3 operational support for PostgreSQL/MySQL, including installation, patching, minor upgrades, backup & recovery, replication support, and performance troubleshooting.
  • Participate in 24x7 support and on-call rotation.
  • Coordinate with application and infra teams.
  • Maintain documentation (SOPs, runbooks, RCA).
  • Mentor junior DBAs.
  • Champion ITIL, security, and data privacy practices.
  • Provide support for complex incidents and perform root cause analysis.
  • Contribute to a comprehensive Knowledge base.
  • Deliver training programs for freshers.
  • Proactively identify and address potential security vulnerabilities.

Krav

  • 5–8 years DBA experience
  • Strong DB2 LUW expertise
  • Working knowledge of PostgreSQL/MySQL
  • Backup, HA/DR, and performance tuning experience
  • Production support exposure
