I korthet

We are seeking an engaged Junior Layer 1 developer for a 6G UE Simulator project in Poland. This role involves contributing to the analysis, design, and implementation of the simulator, with a focus on AI-driven development practices and high-quality C/C++ coding. The position offers a hybrid work model and opportunities for professional growth within an international environment.

Ansvarsområden

  • Be part of an agile team contributing to Layer 1 development of a UE Simulator.
  • Work in an exciting technical area supporting Ericsson internal users with an important product for 6G.
  • Drive innovation and bring new insights to reality.
  • Engage in analysis, system design, pre-development, and implementation in small increments with short feedback loops.
  • Leverage Agentic AI and Specification-Driven Development to accelerate the development of the UE Simulator platform.

Krav

  • MSc or BSc level (or last semesters) in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent.
  • Entry-level knowledge of embedded programming, ideally within the telecom sector.
  • Proven software engineering skills with the ability to write high-quality code (e.g., C or C++).
  • Knowledge of DPDK.
  • Knowledge of multithreading and parallel processing.
  • Understanding of L1 or L2 Protocols.
  • Strong interest in working in an AI-first engineering environment, leveraging Agentic AI and coding assistants.
  • Experience with, or eagerness to learn, Specification-Driven Development and AI-driven software engineering practices.
  • Good speaking and writing skills in English.
  • Minimum 3 days per week from the office.

  • The team will later be the core team for actual development of the 6G UE simulator.
  • The Simulation Services (SIMS) unit is responsible for providing Simulators to product development within Business Area Networks.
