We are seeking an engaged Junior Layer 1 developer for a 6G UE Simulator project in Poland. This role involves contributing to the analysis, design, and implementation of the simulator, with a focus on AI-driven development practices and high-quality C/C++ coding. Responsibilities

Be part of an agile team contributing to Layer 1 development of a UE Simulator.
Work in an exciting technical area supporting Ericsson internal users with an important product for 6G.
Drive innovation and bring new insights to reality.
Engage in analysis, system design, pre-development, and implementation in small increments with short feedback loops.
Leverage Agentic AI and Specification-Driven Development to accelerate the development of the UE Simulator platform.

Requirements

MSc or BSc level (or last semesters) in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent.
Entry-level knowledge of embedded programming, ideally within the telecom sector.
Proven software engineering skills with the ability to write high-quality code (e.g., C or C++).
Knowledge of DPDK.
Knowledge of multithreading and parallel processing.
Understanding of L1 or L2 Protocols.
Strong interest in working in an AI-first engineering environment, leveraging Agentic AI and coding assistants.
Experience with, or eagerness to learn, Specification-Driven Development and AI-driven software engineering practices.
Good speaking and writing skills in English.
Minimum 3 days per week from the office.

Desired Qualifications

The team will later be the core team for actual development of the 6G UE simulator.
The Simulation Services (SIMS) unit is responsible for providing Simulators to product development within Business Area Networks.
