Accenture is seeking a Java Developer for their Advanced Technology Centre in Newcastle. The role involves designing, developing, and delivering enterprise-scale applications using Java and Spring Boot within Agile teams, with a hybrid working model requiring three days per week on-site.

Ansvarsområden

Develop and maintain Java Spring Boot microservices.
Build scalable, reliable, and high-performing applications.
Contribute to the delivery of technical features across the solution architecture.
Participate in Agile ceremonies.
Collaborate with technical leads on microservices design and system integration.
Apply software engineering best practices.
Contribute to Test-Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and continuous testing.
Work closely with quality engineering teams.
Troubleshoot issues and support system improvements.

Krav

Java development experience
Spring Boot and microservices architecture experience
RESTful API development experience
Distributed systems experience
Familiarity with AI coding assistants (e.g. GitHub Copilot)
Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments
Continuous Integration and automated testing practices
Software engineering best practices, including source control and peer reviews
Collaborative work within cross-functional teams
Contribution to technical discussions and solution design

Önskade kvalifikationer

Test-Driven Development (TDD) and/or Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD)
End-to-end system integration experience
Continuous testing practices
Experience contributing to estimation and technical planning activities
Experience supporting non-functional testing
Experience working in fast-paced delivery environments
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
