Volvo Group is seeking an intern to support production teams in Macungie, PA, focusing on continuous improvement and lean methodologies. This role offers hands-on experience in data collection, process analysis, and implementing changes within the manufacturing industry.

Ansvarsområden

  • Drive lean methodology
  • Data collection and analysis focus on standards and repeatability
  • Video analysis of current process to analyze 3Ms (Muri, Mura and Muda)
  • Assist line balancing projects
  • Work with other departments to implement product and process changes
  • Support training session of Lean Manufacturing tools
  • Participate in project planning, implementation and improvements
  • Works FI (Focus Improvement) Owner to promote the Culture of Continuous Improvement
  • Support 5S activities
  • Assist kaizens on the organization (assembly lines, logistic areas and quality area)
  • Assist in Kaizen weeks
  • Assist in follow-up, reports and flow charts
  • Participate in functional meetings

Krav

  • Currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Engineering: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering
  • Completed 30 semester hours before the internship starts
  • Minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75
  • Strong communication skills
  • Valid US Work authorization
