We are seeking a Rack Lifecycle Tech for our AWS Infrastructure Operations team in Mumbai, India. This hands-on role involves the physical installation, cabling, and decommissioning of racks in data centers, ensuring adherence to AWS standards and MOPs. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and 1+ year of networking experience, with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Ansvarsområden

  • Execute rack installations including physical placement, power connections, grounding, and cable management.
  • Perform structured cabling including fiber/copper terminations, patch panel connections, labeling, and dressing.
  • Complete OTDR and power testing, validate results, and escalate failures.
  • Execute work orders, maintain accurate status updates in workflow management tools.
  • Perform quality checks on completed cabling work and update CMDB/DCIM records.
  • Identify and escalate issues, blockers, or deviations from SOPs.
  • Receive, verify, and stage incoming rack, cable, optics, and hardware deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate site inventory records.
  • Execute physical decommission activities including cable removal, power disconnects, and asset de-tagging.
  • Perform device wipe and media destruction.
  • Sort, label, and stage recovered assets for RMA, redeployment, or disposal.
  • Adhere to all site-level SOPs, quality standards, and governance frameworks.
  • Complete all required safety training and certifications.
  • Support coordination with DCO, DCEO, Network Engineering, and facilities teams.

Krav

  • 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience
  • 1+ years of computer networking experience
  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • Familiarity with rack decommissioning including device wipe, media destruction, and asset recovery procedures
