Volvo Trucks is seeking an HGV Technician in Inverness to perform MOT service inspections, fault finding, and repairs on various truck manufacturers. The role requires a Level 3 NVQ in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and previous HGV experience or apprenticeship completion. Competitive salary, overtime, bonus, and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Ansvarsområden

  • Carry out regular MOT service inspections on a wide range of manufacturers’ trucks.
  • Perform fault finding and repairs on engines, gearboxes, brakes, suspension systems, etc.
  • Carry out repairs to a high standard according to Volvo procedures, safely and responsibly.
  • Assist in the fault diagnosis process.
  • Service Customer Vehicles and complete service sheets.
  • Road test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV license).
  • Assist with roadside breakdowns.
  • Process all relevant paperwork relating to jobs accurately.
  • Ensure all vehicle defects are reported.
  • Keep all workshop facilities, equipment, and tools clean, tidy and well maintained.
  • Support the development of trainees and apprentices.

Krav

  • A Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
  • Previous experience working on HGV’s or completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Hold an HGV license (for road testing vehicles).
