Volvo Trucks is seeking an HGV Technician in Inverness to perform MOT service inspections, fault finding, and repairs on various truck manufacturers. Responsibilities
- Carry out regular MOT service inspections on a wide range of manufacturers’ trucks.
- Perform fault finding and repairs on engines, gearboxes, brakes, suspension systems, etc.
- Carry out repairs to a high standard according to Volvo procedures, safely and responsibly.
- Assist in the fault diagnosis process.
- Service Customer Vehicles and complete service sheets.
- Road test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV license).
- Assist with roadside breakdowns.
- Process all relevant paperwork relating to jobs accurately.
- Ensure all vehicle defects are reported.
- Keep all workshop facilities, equipment, and tools clean, tidy and well maintained.
- Support the development of trainees and apprentices.
Requirements
- A Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
- Previous experience working on HGV’s or completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry.
Desired Qualifications
- Hold an HGV license (for road testing vehicles).
