Volvo Group is offering a Graduate Apprentice Trainee position in Logistics, based in Hosakote and Peenya, India. This temporary, on-site role is part of the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS), providing a 1-year On-the-Job Training opportunity for engineering graduates and diploma holders. Responsibilities include managing transport bookings, tracking shipments, ensuring data quality, and coordinating with various stakeholders using TMS platforms.
Ansvarsområden
- Contribute to operations in booking & tracking Transport from suppliers to Plants in Bangalore using TMS & digital platform.
- Secure data quality of transactional data.
- Coordinate with TTI Logistics approved Liners, Forwarders, Transporters, CHA’s, Overseas offices & Customers for Sea/ Air/ Surface Freight movements.
- Coordinate with Customer (Internal & External) for their day to day requirements.
- Monitor end to end activities (transportation, custom clearance, freight, delivery).
- Utilize TMS (Transport Management Systems) like ATLAS/ XTR / A4D etc supporting transport operations.
- Maintain KPIs – Formalize, Record and Maintain KPI.
- Obtain, check and prepare documentation to meet customs and insurance requirements, packing specifications, and compliance with overseas countries' regulations and fiscal regimes.
- Arrange air transport for urgent and high-value freight and manage the risk door to door.
- Visualize transport & operational risks in advance.
- Deal with special arrangements for transporting delicate cargos/ DG/ ODC.
- Maintain communication and control through all phases of the journey, including Management Reports.
- Work with transportation & shipping teams to identify shipments at risk of not meeting delivery expectations.
- Follow escalation process for deviation reporting.
- Participate & contribute to morning meetings, VPS & 5S activities.
- Monitor Pre-Carriage, Freight & On- Carriage activities & cost thru’ TMS usage.
- Communicate to Overseas Volvo plants/ suppliers/ customers for Imports/ Exports flows.
Krav
- University/college graduate in BE/B.Tech/B.Sc/B.Com or BBA in Operations.
- Fluent in English & Good Communication Skills.
- Digital Competence – Able to use Office365 Apps for improvement & automation.
- High on Integrity and Strong Ethics.
- Proficient in Interpersonal skills & strong in customer service relationship.
- Self-motivated & Innovative.
- Perseverance Continuous improvement & Quality mindset.
Önskade kvalifikationer
- Certification in Analytics/ Foreign Trade is added advantage.
