IKEA Reading is hiring full-time Forklift Drivers to join their Fulfilment Operations team. This role involves operating a forklift to move products within the warehouse, ensuring stock availability for customers and co-workers. The position offers a base hourly rate with additional allowances for night shifts and forklift use, along with various IKEA benefits.

Ansvarsområden

  • Safely operate a forklift to move products into the warehouse.
  • Ensure products are available to customers by completing tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Work around other heavy machinery such as other forklift trucks, counterbalance, and pump trucks.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Pick palettes and move them from the loading bay to the warehouse using a forklift.

Krav

  • Previous experience with forklift operations is beneficial, though not essential, as training is provided.
  • High level of enthusiasm and a proactive, eager-to-learn mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and organise workload efficiently with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience in using technical equipment to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Efficient and motivated, capable of managing tasks professionally and collaboratively within a team.
  • Comfort and competence in performing manual handling tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials in accordance with established safety procedures.

Förmåner

  • Planned start date is 18th September 2026.
  • Base hourly rate of £14.15 per hour.
  • Additional £1.50 an hour (Forklift Allowance) and an additional £2.25 an hour (Nightshift Allowance) when working between 10pm and 6am.
  • 30 hours a week, working 5 days per week (4:00am - 10:00am).
