AWS Infrastructure Services is hiring a Data Centre Operation Technician in Hyderabad, India, to support the operation of their global cloud infrastructure. The role involves server rack installation, hardware break-fix, network troubleshooting, and responding to operational issues to maintain data center stability. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in advanced data centers, contributing to the expansion of AWS Cloud offerings in India, and requires on-call duties and 24x7 shift rotation.

Ansvarsområden

  • Maintain and upkeep data center infrastructure as part of the Operations team.
  • Perform server rack installation, hardware break-fix on various components, and troubleshoot network issues.
  • Respond to emergent situations affecting operational stability.
  • Act as a primary contact point for internal customers and external service partners.
  • Meet SLAs against assigned trouble tickets and perform first-line hardware troubleshooting.
  • Participate in on-call duties, scheduled maintenance, and change management activities.
  • Contribute to team meetings for metric analysis and goal achievement.
  • Maintain knowledge of departmental policies, procedures, safety, and security.
  • Contribute to documentation through root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in training less experienced team members (for more experienced technicians).

Krav

  • 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • 1+ years of computer networking experience.
  • Ability to lift and rack equipment up to 18kg.
  • Ability to work in cramped spaces or elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines.
  • Willingness to cover 24x7 shift rotation.
