Responsibilities
- Maintain and upkeep data center infrastructure as part of the Operations team.
- Perform server rack installation, hardware break-fix on various components, and troubleshoot network issues.
- Respond to emergent situations affecting operational stability.
- Act as a primary contact point for internal customers and external service partners.
- Meet SLAs against assigned trouble tickets and perform first-line hardware troubleshooting.
- Participate in on-call duties, scheduled maintenance, and change management activities.
- Contribute to team meetings for metric analysis and goal achievement.
- Maintain knowledge of departmental policies, procedures, safety, and security.
- Contribute to documentation through root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives.
- Assist in training less experienced team members (for more experienced technicians).
Requirements
- 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
- 1+ years of computer networking experience.
- Ability to lift and rack equipment up to 18kg.
- Ability to work in cramped spaces or elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines.
- Willingness to cover 24x7 shift rotation.
