AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a skilled Data Centre Operation Technician in Mumbai, India to maintain and operate the world's largest cloud computing infrastructure. Responsibilities include server rack installation, hardware break-fix, troubleshooting network issues, and responding to operational incidents while adhering to SLAs and safety guidelines. This role involves 24x7 shift rotation and requires computer hardware and networking experience.

Ansvarsområden

  • Perform maintenance and upkeep of data center infrastructure as part of the Operations team.
  • Conduct server rack installation and hardware break-fix on various components.
  • Troubleshoot network issues and respond to emergent situations affecting operational stability.
  • Act as the primary contact for internal customers and external service partners.
  • Meet SLAs against assigned trouble tickets and perform first-line hardware troubleshooting.
  • Participate in on-call duties and scheduled maintenance activities.
  • Contribute to team meetings for metric analysis and goal achievement.
  • Maintain knowledge of department policies, procedures, safety, and security.
  • Contribute to documentation and process improvement initiatives through root cause analysis.
  • Assist in training less experienced team members (for more experienced technicians).
  • Handle physical tasks including lifting equipment up to 18kg and working in confined or elevated spaces.
  • Cover 24x7 shift rotation.

Krav

  • 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • 1+ years of computer networking experience.
  • High school or equivalent diploma.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution.
  • Experience operating efficiently under pressure.
  • Ability to lift & rack equipment up to 18kg.
  • Willingness to work in cramped spaces or in elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines.
