Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and upkeep of data center infrastructure as part of the Operations team.
- Conduct server rack installation and hardware break-fix on various components.
- Troubleshoot network issues and respond to emergent situations affecting operational stability.
- Act as the primary contact for internal customers and external service partners.
- Meet SLAs against assigned trouble tickets and perform first-line hardware troubleshooting.
- Participate in on-call duties and scheduled maintenance activities.
- Contribute to team meetings for metric analysis and goal achievement.
- Maintain knowledge of department policies, procedures, safety, and security.
- Contribute to documentation and process improvement initiatives through root cause analysis.
- Assist in training less experienced team members (for more experienced technicians).
- Handle physical tasks including lifting equipment up to 18kg and working in confined or elevated spaces.
- Cover 24x7 shift rotation.
Requirements
- 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
- 1+ years of computer networking experience.
- High school or equivalent diploma.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution.
- Experience operating efficiently under pressure.
- Ability to lift & rack equipment up to 18kg.
- Willingness to work in cramped spaces or in elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines.
