AWS Infrastructure Services seeks a Data Centre Linux & HW Engineer in Hyderabad, Telangana, to manage and maintain large-scale cloud infrastructure. This role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring high system reliability, and participating in on-call rotations to support 24x7 operations.

Ansvarsområden

  • Act as an escalation point and technical troubleshooter for systems and network hardware issues.
  • Deep dive into Linux server issues and XEN service virtualization troubleshooting.
  • Remediate physical layer outages, including systems, network, and power issues on racks.
  • Participate in data center power and cooling events.
  • Install and configure racks of hosts in line with internal SLAs.
  • Triage and resolve trouble tickets for all devices in the region.
  • Serve as the data center point of contact for all high severity issues.
  • Perform physical replacement of server and network device parts and ensure correct rotation of parts and spares.
  • Contribute to defining metrics to increase customer uptime and enforce security best practices.
  • Interact with third-party vendors and contractors.
  • Contribute ideas to improve operational efficiency.
  • Participate in and deliver on high-impact small to mid-scale projects.
  • Participate in internal team meetings for metric analysis and project status updates.
  • Share knowledge and help educate less technical staff on best practices related to break fix issues.
  • Contribute to the ADSIPL hiring process/candidate interviews.

Krav

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of computer networking experience.
  • 2+ years of Linux operating systems experience.
  • Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
  • Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.
  • Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
  • Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment).
