This role is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of data center infrastructure, including server rack installation, hardware break-fix, and troubleshooting network issues. The position requires knowledge of server hardware, cabling standards, and data center operations within a 24x7 shift rotation.
Ansvarsområden
- Maintenance and upkeep of data center infrastructure.
- Server rack installation, hardware break-fix, and troubleshooting network issues.
- Responding to emergent situations affecting operational stability.
- Meeting SLAs against assigned trouble tickets.
- Performing on-call duties and participating in Data Center operations, including scheduled maintenance and change management.
- Participating in team meetings for metric analysis and goal achievement.
- Contributing to documentation on technical issues through root cause analysis.
- Assisting in training less experienced team members (for more experienced technicians).
- Supporting Data Center infrastructure equipment (racks, servers, networking devices, etc.).
- Following instructions in a ticket-based environment for systematic problem resolution.
- Performing routine operation activities on hardware and spare parts.
- Maintaining tidiness in operation areas.
Krav
- Knowledge of server hardware and components.
- Knowledge of fiber optic and copper cabling standards, testing equipment, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- 2+ years of data center experience.
Önskade kvalifikationer
- Experience working in a colocation data center facility.
- Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- Experience in networking.
