Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Technician to join their Infrastructure Operations team in Mumbai, India. This on-site role involves troubleshooting technical issues on servers, storage, and networking hardware, maintaining system reliability, and participating in projects to enhance operational efficiencies. A Bachelor's degree in IT or Computer Science and experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair are required.

Ansvarsområden

  • Troubleshoot technical issues on advanced hardware, including servers, storage, and networking devices, on a 24/7 basis.
  • Maintain a high level of system reliability and availability.
  • Participate in projects to enhance operational efficiencies and share experiences with global technical experts.
  • Share knowledge and help train less technical staff on best practices for service owner issues.
  • Contribute to building a great team by participating in the Amazon hiring process and candidate interviews.
  • Perform installation and configurations on Data Center Servers and Network systems.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and replace internal and external hardware parts of Servers and Network devices.
  • Work within a ticket-based environment and engage in systematic problem resolution.
  • Work on a rotational shift-based schedule to maintain high system reliability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, share ideas, and contribute to innovative projects to improve DC work environment and overall efficiencies.
  • This is a physically active role requiring constant movement on-site.

Krav

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
  • Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
  • Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.
  • Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
  • Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment).
