Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Technician for its Infrastructure Operations team in Mumbai, India. This role involves troubleshooting advanced hardware (servers, storage, networking), maintaining system reliability, and participating in enhancement projects on a 24/7 basis. A Bachelor's degree in IT or Computer Science and hardware troubleshooting experience are required.
Ansvarsområden
- Troubleshoot technical issues on advanced hardware, ranging from servers, storage and networking devices on a 24/7 basis.
- Maintain a high level of system reliability and availability.
- Participate in projects to enhance operational efficiencies with opportunities to share experiences and knowledge with our global network of technical experts.
- Share knowledge and help train less technical staff on the best practices related to all service owner issues.
- Contribute towards building a great team by getting involved in the Amazon hiring process/candidate interviews.
- Installation and configurations on Data center Servers and Network systems.
- Installation, troubleshooting and replacement of internal and external hardware parts of Servers and Network devices.
- Work within a ticket-based environment and work on systematic problem resolution.
- Work on rotational shift-based schedule to maintain high system reliability.
- Collaborate with internal teams and share ideas and contribute in innovative projects to improve DC work environment and overall efficiencies.
- This is a physically active role, we are always on the move onsite.
Krav
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair
- Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
- Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system
- Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
- Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment)
