AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Data Center Manager in Mumbai, India. This role involves leading technical teams, optimizing data center operations, and ensuring high standards of safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data center management, people leadership, and process improvement.

Ansvarsområden

  • Manage and develop teams of engineers, providing technical and leadership expertise.
  • Maintain existing co-located and in-house Data Centers.
  • Assist in building and bringing online new Data Centers.
  • Continuously improve processes and procedures for operational excellence.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors.
  • Liaise with internal teams and management groups.
  • Ensure adherence to and exceed local Health & Safety standards.
  • Create and maintain metrics to drive positive changes in Data Center operations.
  • Assist in implementing service methodologies like incident, problem, change, and capacity management.

Krav

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
  • 4+ years of data center engineering or operations experience.
  • 3+ years of managing technical teams with significant personnel management experience.
  • Proven ability to develop engineers and build successful teams.
  • Experience dealing with high severity situations, understanding wider blast implications, and potential consequences of differing outcome scenarios.
  • Experience in Change Management & Fault Management.
  • Proven experience dealing with external vendors, including problem and conflict management.
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in improving both good and bad processes, including process mapping and implementing remediation steps.
  • Experience in influencing the Safety culture of the Data Center organization.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Bachelor's degree or above in engineering or equivalent STEM field, or 4+ years of network and operating system support experience.
  • 1+ years of Agile methods and processes experience.
  • Experience in capacity planning, operations planning, business analysis, or similar.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma concepts.
  • Experience implementing change management successfully transitioning programs into large-scale operations.
  • Experience managing both high & low performing employees.
  • Conflict management skills.
