Amazon Data Services Sweden AB is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician in Västerås, Sweden. This role involves operating and maintaining critical electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire/life safety equipment to ensure high availability for AWS data centers. The position requires relevant experience in these areas and strong English communication skills.

Ansvarsområden

Assist in the operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety equipment, and HVAC equipment within the Data Center/Facility.
Assist in the maintenance and monitoring of all Data Center systems, including incidents, events, problems, changes, monitoring, and escalation/notification/resolution.
Monitor and troubleshoot all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, voice/data, cooling systems, fire/life safety equipment, and generators.
Provide assistance to contractors or data center engineers to ensure proper operation and maintenance of all facility equipment.
Provide assistance to contractors or data center engineers to deploy new equipment, such as building racks and cabling.
Perform site walk-throughs to verify proper operation of Facility Equipment and Monitoring Systems.
Act as a Facilities First Responder to critical events.
Monitor all alarms and systems involved in the operation of power, cooling, and fire suppression systems in the data center.
Plan and coordinate vendor works on site.
Support other sites and teams during events and planned works.
Carry out rack power up and installation duties.
Monitor and facilitate new equipment handover.
Support new hires and team members through knowledge sharing and development.
Participate in event response and drills.

Krav

Electrical, mechanical, or instrumentation training and/or relevant experience.
2+ years of relevant work experience.
Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
