Microsoft is seeking a Data Center Critical Environment Technician Manager to lead a team in managing critical infrastructure operations for their cloud services. This fully on-site role involves people management, overseeing equipment and systems operations and maintenance, and ensuring a strong critical environment culture.

Ansvarsområden

Model, coach, and care for team members, defining objectives and enabling success.
Serve as an operations specialist in areas like electrical, mechanical, or controls.
Oversee inspection of critical environment equipment (HVAC, mechanical systems) for unsafe conditions.
Monitor system performance using telemetry and control systems, identifying alarms.
Utilize CMMS to track assets and complete work orders.
Respond to and lead incident response teams for abnormal conditions.
Develop and follow emergency operating procedures (EOPs), methods of procedure (MOPs), and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Gather information and create incident timelines, root-cause analyses, and action items.
Guide and oversee maintenance and repairs for critical equipment.
Serve as a subject matter expert for equipment troubleshooting.
Provide escort to third-party contractors and vendors on-site.
Ensure supplier/vendor work is started and completed safely.
Advise colleagues on inspection and supervision issues.
Ensure and coach team on safety and security requirements (JHAs, toolbox talks).
Proactively ensure safety and security requirements are met.
Maintain safe working conditions and escalate unsafe conditions immediately.
Assess and identify resources and equipment for EH&S objectives.
Participate in required meetings, trainings, and handoffs.
Embody Microsoft's culture and values.

Krav

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent AND multiple years of mission-critical services work/applied learning experience in environments like data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, or manufacturing.
Ability to work shifts, including non-standard business hours, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud background check.

Associate's Degree or technical trade certification (e.g., military, trade school), or higher-equivalent education AND several years of mission-critical services experience.
A year(s) of people management experience.
A year(s) experience in a specialized area (e.g., mechanical field, electrical field, controls field) or related field.
