IKEA Supply (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Customs Operations Leader to lead import and export activities in Port Klang. This role focuses on ensuring operational excellence, maximizing compliance, and managing relationships with external service providers and local authorities.

Ansvarsområden

Lead and organize import and export activities for the assigned geographical area.
Ensure operational excellence in day-to-day operations and continually review ways of working.
Develop and maintain optimal setup and processes for import and export operations.
Manage day-to-day interface with external service providers for customs and compliance activities.
Interact with local authorities for transactional activities.
Gather and retain documents and data for KPI generation and performance monitoring.
Identify and correct systemic or operational deviations.
Support risk management related to Customs operations and compliance.
Assist in obtaining and maintaining necessary permits and licenses.
Support the development and implementation of action plans for import, export, and compliance initiatives.
Support external audits, projects, and self-audits.

Krav

At least 3 to 6 years of experience within the import and export industry.
Knowledge of compliance and operations for bonded warehouse and foreign trade zones (FTZ).
Experience and knowledge regarding import and export regulations of the assigned geographical area.
Demonstrable experience communicating with government authorities.
Experience in project management.
Strong analytical, investigative, and interpersonal skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Fluency in local language and English (written and oral).

Önskade kvalifikationer

Possession of brokerage or customs compliance professional license or certification would be an added advantage.
Strong desire and capability to initiate and implement continuous improvement.
Strong Compliance mindset.
